CVS and Walgreens Updates

Yay! I got my errands done before the snow hit! Not only did I go grocery shopping (good thing, since we would have been eating popcorn and applesauce tonight), but I ran into CVS and Walgreens too.

The big news is there is a Walgreens moneymaker on Almay Pure Blends eyeshadow! This is an unadvertised Register Rewards offer for $7.00 when you buy 2 selected Almay products, combined with a timely clearance sale. I first heard about it from CommonSenseWithMoney, and I was able to confirm it today. Here's how it works:

-$2.00     Use up to 2 $2/1 Almay cosmetics coupons from the 1/23 SmartSource

If you are lucky enough to have 2 of the Almay coupons, you can use both and turn this into a $3 moneymaker. There were only a few shades left when I was there, so hurry!

I was able to check prices on a couple of those "Buy $X Get $Y in Extra Bucks" offers.

Clean & Clear Buy $15 get $5 ECB

Prices for most products were between $5.99 and about $7.99. So plan on buying 2 or 3 products to reach $15. With coupons and ECBs, you would be looking at $9-$11 off.

I hadn't realized how good the sale prices in the ad were! Both the Infallible lip gloss and the Colour Riche lipstick that are on sale for $5.00 are normally $9.99-10.99. And the True Match makeup runs from $10.99-15.79, on sale for $7.00. So if you were thinking of trying any of these products, now would be the time!
